Shipwell was founded in 1979 by our CEO, Chris Lai. He was an auto paint technician when he was in his 20’s. For more than 10 years, he worked in several companies, including Nissan, Ford and Mitsubishi. This has given him many years of practical experience in painting, and car coatings. He specializes in the field of automotive sheet metal painting. This experience is what led him go found Shipwell and provide car repair shops and car companies with relevant paint products.

Shipwell has been the distributor of international brands whose products have been recognized by Ferrari,Lamborghini, Nissan, Ford and Honda as designated products. These brands include PPG, SIKKENS, ROCK and BASF.
