About SHIPWELL
From the Workshop to Coating Expertise: The Legacy of Craftsmanship
SHIPWELL Co., Ltd. was founded in 1990 by our Chairman, Mr. Lai. The journey of Funai stems from his enduring passion for automotive craftsmanship.
In his early twenties, Mr. Lai began his career as a hands-on automotive bodywork and painting technician. Over the following decade, he honed his expertise at several global automotive giants, including Nissan, Ford, and Mitsubishi. This extensive, first-hand experience allowed him to master the intricacies of sheet metal repair and refinishing processes.
It was this profound field expertise that inspired him to establish Funai. Having spent years on the shop floor, he deeply understands the daily challenges technicians face. Under his leadership, Funai was built to deliver premium coating products and precise technical solutions tailored specifically for auto repair shops and automotive companies. We don't just supply materials; we share the same dedication to craftsmanship as our clients.
